I went home to Illinois the weekend before Thanksgiving primarily to attend the baby shower of my oldest and dearest friend, Katie. Long-time friends and readers will remember her from numerous mentions including here and here.
Katie lives in far away Houston now (boo!) so it was especially great to see her and to participate in this special event.

AWWW, look at katie's adorable little preggers self! i love it. do they know whether they're having a boy or girl?
@StarOfLorien - no, they are waiting to be surprised. katie said so few things in life these days are a surprise so they are letting this be one of them. lots of people have been telling her it's a boy, but we'll see. after looking at nursery decorations at pottery barn kids, she said she felt a little regret at not knowing - so much cute baby stuff for boys and girls. :)
